Blog
VisionStream admin uses can easily create blog posts and have those posts accessible via the subdomain portal Blog feature.
Overview
The Blog view displays a list of blog posts in a structured manner.
- Admin users can create and update blog content.
Create New Blog Post
Press the '+' icon in the upper right of the Blog Postings listing page to open the Create New Blog Post page
- Required fields
- Title
- The title of blog post which will be visible to the users on Blogs page.
- Optional fields
- Published
- Toggle this option to set the blog post as either published (true) or unpublished (false).
- Featured
- Toggle this option to set the blog as either featured (true) or not featured (false).
- Featured blog posts will be highlighted on blog page by "Featured" badge.
- Group
- It specifies the group to which blog post belongs.
- Picture
- Provide the URL of the picture you want to display for your blog.
- Summary
- Provide a brief summary or overview of your post.
- Text
- Enter the main text or content of your post using provided text editor.
Admin users can edit any blog post and change the values of any field by clicking on post's name.
Published and Featured indicators
VisionStream maintains a simple UI construct which allows for the easy identification of Published and Featured blog posts.
Published vs. Unpublished
- Published posts will display in blog section of the subdomain portal.

Unpublished posts are hidden and cannot be accessed by an attendee.

In the blog post listing page:
- Published posts are designated by a round green icon with a check mark.
- Unpublished posts are designated by a round amber icon with a 'x'.
- Featured posts are designated by a round green icon with a check mark.
- Un-featured posts are designated by a round red icon with a red dot.
Delete blog
- Press the trash icon to the right of the featured blog indicator on the Blog Postings listing page to delete the blog.
- The application will prompt the user to confirm their intention to delete the blog.
- Once the user confirms the deletion, all blog content associated with the blog is deleted.
WARNING: Deleting is final. This action cannot be undone.
